Exercise - Guideline (Basic + Advanced course)

BASIC COURSE

Watch the tutorial video for each week before starting practice.

  1. Watch - Training video

Start by watching the tutorial video provided for each week. Before jumping into practice, make sure you understand the sewing sequence, pattern structure, and key points covered in the video. Feel free to watch it multiple times.

  1. Import DXF - Load pattern

Import the provided DXF file into the program. Select the appropriate avatar (Woman/Man) and verify that each pattern piece is correctly positioned. Pay close attention to sizing and orientation before moving on.

  1. Sewing- Practice

Follow the video and sew in the correct order. At this stage, the goal is not perfection. it's about getting a feel for the construction process. If you get stuck, go back and re-watch the relevant part of the video.

  1. Review & Repeat

Once finished, compare your result with the video and look for any differences. Correct any steps where the sewing order or method didn't match, and don't hesitate to start over if needed. The more you repeat, the more your instincts will sharpen.

ADVANCED COURSE

More complex DXF files provided. Build your instincts through repetition.

  1. Import DXF - Load pattern

More complex DXF files are provided at this level — outerwear and structured pieces with advanced construction details. Import the file and set up your avatar (Woman/Man) just as you did before.

  1. Sewing - Independent practice

There's no video guide this time. Analyze the pattern pieces yourself and sew in the order you think is correct. Challenging items like parkas and trench coats are included — this is where your instincts get tested.

  1. Open ZLS - Review & compare

Open the completed ZLS file and compare it with your own work. Check the sewing sequence, seam connections, and any details you may have missed. Always attempt it yourself first — use ZLS as a reference, not a shortcut.

  1. Iterate - Refine & repeat

Go back and correct any differences you found. The more files you work through, the sharper your eye becomes. Every item you complete builds your instinct and speed.
